The pain in the ass is a pain in the ass.

Okay I said it twice at 4am at East Coast Park yesterday.

Lol.

'Fun' is the word to describe what we did in the previous two days.

Day One - November 26

I was the first reach Downtown East. Met up with the guys (Shaun Lee, Jovin, Nicky, Weiquan, Xuanzheng) and checked in with Shaun's grandmother.

Shaun's grandma is cool. She said that I'm a beautiful girl lol. Anyway she's fun to be with, although it's only 20 minutes with her.

That's the six of us. In a chalet room at Costa Sands. Doing things like this:

Okay, we then walked and crapped around.

Dinner was at Sakae Sushi.

With Jovin and Weiquan around, we ate four/five times of this:

Back in the chalet room, we played some card games like Cheat until 9pm.

We had a hard time looking for shops that rent bicycles. Spent 2 hours doing it and finally, found one at Aloha Loyang.

We rented five bicycles (Xuanzheng's not allowed to stayover) and I spent 10 minutes 'teaching' Weiquan how to ride a bicycle.

Cycled back to the chalet room, locked our bikes and played Cheat until 11.45pm. That was when Xuanzheng left us.

Day Two - November 27

So yeah, we started night-cycling at 12am.

We used the park connectors, which failed to 'connect' us from parks to parks.

First, we cycled to a fishing pond at Pasir Ris Town Park.

Next, we cycled around the Pasir Ris estate because we were quite confused with which way to go. So one of us suggested that we use the roads to guide us. And we did.

Uhuh, we cycled from Pasir Ris to Tampines. From Tampines, we cycled to Bedok Reservoir Park.

This was somewhere near Bedok Reservoir Park. Btw that's one big man complaining about the tiny blisters on his hands.

We took a short toilet break at Bedok Reservoir Park and continued cycling.

Next, we reached Bedok Town Park. We then used Siglap Park Connector...

and all the way we cycled to Kembangan MRT Station. It was about 2.20am then btw.

Presenting the gayest member of TK Basketball... SHAUN LEE! :) :) :) :)

Wow, that's a cool pose for Cheers. You may be Singapore's next top model, Shaun.

We had a few bites of Nicky's sausage buns (OMG) and bought drinks.

Then, we cycled through Frankel Avenue. There was a police spot check near the end of the road. We were afraid to get busted so we took a small lane which led us back to Siglap Park Connector.

We used the park connector, and reached East Coast Park at 3am.

The first thing we wanted to do at East Coast Park is to have supper at McDonald's.

Gah. We slacked until 4.30am and continued cycling.

This time, we cycled along the beach. And not taking the same route back to Pasir Ris. It was a bad decision btw.

We then cycled to Bedok Jetty.

There's this fisherman who 'shared' with us what he caught.

Next, we continued cycling along the beach. We cycled past OBS Centre, Singapore Sailing Centre, Safra Resorts, etc. And reached Tanah Merah. We went on, and saw Changi Airport.

It was about 5.30am then.

This is Changi Coast Road. It doesn't seem long, but we spent an hour cycling through this road.

I was the last, sadly.

The weather was cold and dewy. It was the worst part of the activity. We were so worn out that we even suggested to take taxi back to Downtown East.

Even the Chiongster, Shaun Lee, also sian, we leh.

We then 'struggled' past camp bases, ferry terminals, resorts, factories... until we reached Changi Village at 6.45am.

We bought drinks from a provision shop and continued.

Erm next, we cycled through Netheravon Road, where Aloha Changi, SAF Holiday Chalets and Old Changi Hospital is located.

We saw Loyang Park Connector at the end of the road and of course we used it to guide us back to Pasir Ris Town Park. It was about 7am then.

Park connectors do save your life. We smiled when we saw one.

Lastly, we cycled all the way to Downtown East. And reached the bike shop at Aloha Loyang at 7.30am.

Wow, 7 hours of cycling. Coolz manz. But it's really pain in the ass.

Back in the chalet room, we bathed and KO-ed all the way till 4pm. I tell you, really KO-ed manz.

Something omfgly happened to Weiquan. He got locked outside the chalet room until 4pm LOL. He called us many times, knocked the door and shouted but nobody heard him. So he went to McCafe and drank three cups of coffee. Sweet.

When we woke up, we thought he went home to sleep lol. So we called him. And he came in, smiling.

Okay he bathed, and Jovin accidentally saw his ass. (OMG)

Then I walked towards the toilet to pass him his wallet and you know, mirrors do reflect, so I saw his ass. (OMFG) It's definitely a turn-off for me but for Jovin, I'm not sure.

Xuanzheng came to join us for lunch.

Lol we then used the free tickets to Escape Theme Park.

Only Jovin, Xuanzheng and I sat the thrill rides. Nicky was unwell and Shaun was is ball-less.

All five of us sat 'Yakult's I Can Fly' LOL and went to the Haunted House. In the haunted house, I could only remember holding Nicky's shoulders, and being hugged by Xuanzheng. Shaun and Jovin kept doing evil laughters. It's so diaox manz.

Gah. Jovin, Xuanzheng and I then took another thrill ride and we went back to the chalet room.

Played Cheat (it's a fun game) and packed up. Had dinner at the food court and went home.

We didn't stay over because Nicky was unwell and all of us were tired.

It's only 2D1N but it was FUN.

So coolz manz.

Next month, our dear Shaun will be organising another chalet. But this time we're inviting our juniors too.

And then we'll cycle to Orchard. :)

Hi!

My name is Sandra and I'm a reporter with The Straits Times. In case you're wondering, I came across your blog entry, by chance, about cycling and park connectors while doing an Internet search.

I'm writing a story compiling user feedbacks to the new park connectors in the East - the very ones you cycled on - and was wondering if I could get some input from you? Just 5 min over the phone will do =)

If you're game, can you call me please? My number is 97760833. I need to hand in my story by Friday morning so if we can talk before Thursday night, I'd be most grateful.

Hear from you soon?

Thank you!
Sandra
